covered in mud
stained faces looked away
their little hearts beating
and their hearts floating
above the ocean
and in company of the clouds
dreams that were precious
like the gold of the setting sun
that glowed upon them
in love…
children on the beach.
children.
little noises
hidden voices
a garden filled
with kids and toys
giggling sounds
eager and loud
everything’s free
you too can play
for they invite you in
with an open heart
moments of innocence
and perfect beauty
nature’s best creations
dancing beneath the sky
glowing like the sun itself
in fact, brighter
filling all eyes with joy
tears nor pain
nothing crosses their minds
there’s just play and happiness
that’s important here
so you better mind
flowers of God
with wonderful hearts
love’s all that is here
beauty is all one can see
watch them grow
watch them play
and that’s all that’s needed
in this wide wide world
to be truly happy…

anything and everything

“Two Petals”
Two petals of roses
Flew out of God’s window
And fell onto those seats
Where they grew little eyes, nose,
And lips so tender
Cheeks that reminded
Of the season’s freshest apples
My eyes on a strike
They refused to blink even once
The petals were so lovely
Their innocence spread across
The entire bus
And grew smiles on each dull face
That was suffering in loneliness
God sent these heavenly angels
Clad in red, their shine was like
The dawn’s first rays
Upon a weary traveler
Waking him up to the wonders
Of a new day lying ahead
The charming little girls
Were like the buds of a new life
The freshest breezes of nature
So charming their unwavering attention
On the little tricks I made for them
That I just cannot help smiling
Each time their vaguest memory
Passes my heart.
Two Innocent Hands
I was on my bike Riding fast but glancing still And as everything passed rapidly by On the fly Suddenly came a moment And my eyes photographed the image Still like the reflection of moon On the surface of a pond Just a little piece of time And that was all I needed That image had an innocence A beautifully woven emotion It brought me a smile and a thought Both side by side When I saw a little girl and her little brother Both poor Yet rich with joy and cheer Held each other’s hand And crossed the street Little hands, little feet Holding each other and Walking together They had a glow of godliness Pure rays of innocence Beaming through their souls Made on me an unforgettable impression Torn were their clothes But well-stitched their childhood Shattered their lives But beautifully built were their souls Pure as the snow That lands upon little flowers The divine light of God Was shining through their happy eyes. May the Universe bless them And save their goodness From one and all Be it the blaring life in summer Or the pinching coldness of fall.
